Snap! is a German Eurodance group formed in 1989 by record producers Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti. The act has undergone several lineup changes over the years, featuring American singers, songwriters, and rappers such as Thea Austin, Turbo B, Niki Haris, and Penny Ford. Their most popular hits include "The Power" (1990) and "Rhythm Is a Dancer" (1992), both of which achieved no. 1 in the charts of multiple countries.

Technotronic was a Belgian electronic music project formed in 1987 by Jo Bogaert and best known for their 1989 single, "Pump Up the Jam", which features vocals by Ya Kid K. The song peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Later that year, the single was followed by the album of the same name, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. Technotronic achieved further success with the singles "Get Up! (Before the Night Is Over)" and "Move This". They went on to release the albums Body to Body (1991) and Recall (1995), and they have been inactive since 2001.

MARRS (stylised M|A|R|R|S) were a 1987 recording collective formed by the groups A.R. Kane and Colourbox, which only released one commercial disc. It became "a one-hit wonder of rare influence" because of their international hit "Pump Up the Volume", which was their only single.

The Beatmasters are an English electronic music group who gained success in the UK in the late 1980s with four top 20 hit singles. They then went on to produce and remix records for other artists, including Pet Shop Boys, Erasure and Marc Almond. The group's string of chart hit singles include "Burn It Up", "Hey DJ! (I Can't Dance to that Music You're Playing)", "Who's in the House" (featuring Merlin) and "Rok da House".
