superintelligence
A superintelligence is a hypothetical agent that possesses intelligence surpassing that of the most gifted human minds. Philosopher Nick Bostrom defines superintelligence as "any intellect that greatly exceeds the cognitive performance of humans in virtually all domains of interest".
Alcubierre drive
hypothetical mode of transportation by warping space
Nazi UFOs
conspiracy theories alleging connections between UFOs and Nazi Germany
mind uploading
hypothetical copying of a "self" from a brain's neural-networks into a computer, a computer network or a human-like robot
Stanford torus
space habitat
RF resonant cavity thruster
The EmDrive is a controversial device first proposed in 2001, purported by its inventors to be a reactionless drive. While no mechanism for operation was proposed, this would violate the law of conservation of momentum and other laws of physics. The concept has at times been referred to as a resonant cavity thruster. The idea is generally considered by physicists to be pseudoscience.

computronium
Computronium is a material hypothesized by Norman Margolus and Tommaso Toffoli of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1991 to be used as "programmable matter", a substrate for computer modeling of virtually any real object.

xenoarchaeology
Xenoarchaeology, a branch of xenology dealing with extraterrestrial cultures, is a hypothetical form of archaeology that exists mainly in works of science fiction. The field is concerned with the study of the material remains to reconstruct and interpret past life-ways of alien civilizations. Xenoarchaeology is not currently practiced by mainstream archaeologists due to the current lack of any material for the discipline to study.
statite
A statite (a portmanteau of the words static and satellite) is a hypothetical type of artificial satellite that employs a solar sail to continuously modify its orbit in ways that gravity alone would not allow. Typically, a statite would use the solar sail to "hover" in a location that would not otherwise be available as a stable geosynchronous orbit. Statites have been proposed that would remain in fixed locations high over Earth's poles, using reflected sunlight to counteract the gravity pulling them down. Statites might also employ their sails to change the shape or velocity of more conventi

The creation of new life by other than the natural means available to an organism
femtotechnology
Femtotechnology is a term used in reference to the hypothetical manipulation of matter on the scale of a femtometer, or 10−15 m. This is three orders of magnitude lower than picotechnology, at the scale of 10−12 m, and six orders of magnitude lower than nanotechnology, at the scale of 10−9 m.
