Kuntaka () was a Sanskrit poetician and literary theorist of who is remembered for his work Vakroktijīvitam in which he postulates the Vakrokti Siddhānta or theory of Oblique Expression, which he considers as the hallmark of all creative literature. He lived roughly 950–1050, between Anandavardhana in the ninth century and Abhinavagupta in the tenth century and was a rough contemporary of Dhananjaya and Rajasekhara.

Keshavasuta (born Krishnaji Keshav Damle; 7 October 1866 – 7 November 1905) was a Marathi poet who is regarded as the pioneer of modern Marathi poetry. He wrote around 135 poems during his lifetime. In addition to his Marathi works, he wrote poetry in English and authored a play that remained unpublished.

Peram Raju Jakkana is a famous Telugu poet in the early 15th century (1450). He was born to Akkamamba and Annayamathyulu in a Niyogi Brahmin family. He served as a poet in the court of Proudha Devarayalu. His famous work is Vikramarka Charithramu, which he dedicated to Vennelakanti Sidhanamatya, the minister of treasury in the court of Proudha Devarayalu. This work describes the legend of Vikramaditya, the king of Ujjain.

Harisena
Harisena was a 4th-century Sanskrit poet, panegyrist and a court official. He was an important figure in the court of Gupta emperor, Samudragupta. His most famous poem, written , describes the bravery of Samudragupta and is inscribed on the Allahabad Pillar. At least one of his known inscriptions was written as a panegyric.

Kosaraju Raghavaiah
Kosaraju Raghavayya (23 June 1905 – 27 October 1987), known mononumously by his surname Kosaraju, was an Indian lyricist and poet known for his works in Telugu cinema. He wrote about 3,000 songs in 350 films. His lyrics are steeped in Telugu folklore and rural idiom. He was awarded the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for his contribution to Telugu cinema in 1984.
