Vanvikan is a village in Indre Fosen Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located along the Trondheimsfjord in the southeastern part of the municipality. The village of Seter lies about northeast of Vanvikan and the lake Storvatnet lies about north of the village. One of the schools in the municipality, Vanvikan Skole is located in the village of Vanvikan. Stranda Church is also located in the village.

Årnset or Rissa is the administrative centre of Indre Fosen Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located on the north shore of the lake Botn about south of the village of Hasselvika and about north of the villages of Stadsbygd and Askjem.

Råkvåg () is a village in Indre Fosen Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located at the inner part of the Stjørnfjorden in the northern part of what was the old Rissa Municipality. It is about north of the village of Husbysjøen and about east of the village of Høybakken in the neighboring Ørland Municipality. The Ramsvik Church lies just south of the village.

Stjørnfjorden
Stjørnfjorden is an arm of Trondheimsfjorden that flows along the border of Ørland Municipality and Indre Fosen Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord stretches southwest from the mouth of the Nordelva river near the village of Råkvåg to the Trondheimsfjord near Brekstad and Austrått. The inner part of the fjord splits into two smaller arms, the Nordfjord and Sørfjord. The Bjugnfjorden lies about north of the fjord.

Meltingvatnet is a lake on the border of Indre Fosen Municipality and Inderøy Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The lake is a reservoir that holds water for the Mosvik power plant. The water flows out of the lake into the Mossa river which flows into the village of Mosvik.

Verrasundet is a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord branches off of the northern part of the vast Trondheimsfjorden in Indre Fosen Municipality, Steinkjer Municipality, and Inderøy Municipality. It extends from Beitstadfjorden to the village of Verrabotn. The fjord is a maximum of wide, but at Trongsundet, the fjord is barely wide.

Verrabotn is a village located in Indre Fosen Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located at end of the Verrasundet arm of the Trondheimsfjord. The village of Verrastranda lies about to the northeast, the village of Trongsundet lies about to the northeast (both in Steinkjer Municipality), and the village of Årnset lies about to the southwest. Norwegian National Road 720 runs through the village, which formerly had a primary school. The village is the location of Fines Church.
