The team was created in 2008 by Igor Makarov, an ex-professional cyclist and entrepreneur. In 2017 the team took a broader international direction, still supported by Igor Makarov's company ARETI International Group, Swiss clothing company Katusha Sports and German shampoo manufacturer Alpecin. HTC–Highroad () was a former professional cycling team competing in international road bicycle races. Their last title sponsor was HTC Corporation, a Taiwanese manufacturer of smartphones but dissolved at the end of the 2011 season from a failure to find a new sponsor. High Road Sports was the management company of team manager Bob Stapleton. Past title sponsors include Columbia Sportswear and Deutsche Telekom.

The team was established in 2005, as the successor of P3 Transfer-Batavus, while also taking over many of the riders and staff of Cycle Collstrop, the former team of manager Van der Schueren. Neither Vacansoleil or DCM renewed their sponsorship of the program after the 2013 season.

Xacobeo Galicia was a professional continental cycling team from Spain. It competed in the UCI Europe Tour and, when selected as a wild card, in UCI ProTour events. The creation of the team was announced on July 11, 2006, as Fundación Ciclismo Galego following the withdrawal of four of the nine Spanish professional cycling teams from the sport. Xacobeo Galicia was managed by Rodrigo Rodriguez, with assistance from directeur sportif Álvaro Pino, Jesús Blanco Villar and José Angel Vidal.
