Kotisaari
thumb|Kotisaari in 2008 Kotisaari is an island on the river Kemijoki, near Rovaniemi, Finland. Starting in the late 1800s, the island was used as a traditional stronghold for lumberjacks. By the 1980s, however, trucks had replaced boats as the primary method of log transportation, and its use as a lumberjack stronghold came to an end.

Kyläniemi
Kyläniemi is an island on the south of lake Saimaa in Taipalsaari. It was formed during the second Salpausselkä. Kyläniemi is the 20th largest island in Finland's inland waters, with an area of 23 km2.
Äitsaari
Äitsaari (Mother Island) is a large island in Finland. It is situated south of lake Saimaa and is part of the municipality of Ruokolahti. The island is located in the center of Ruokolahti and west of Rasila. It is the largest island in South Karelia and is one of the largest inland islands in Finland, with an area of 74 square kilometers. There is a road connecting the island to the centre of Ruokolahti via Salosaari. There is also a bridge from Äitsaari to the west of Härskiänsaari. Since 1995, the Karhusalmi ferry has been operating from the island to southwest of Mietinsaari.
Ålön
Ålön (), with Flatskär, Prästnäs, and Tippan is an island in Finland. The island is located in the municipality of Pargas in the province of Southwest Finland, in the southern part of the country, 150 km west of the capital city of Helsinki. The island's area is 70.17 square kilometers, and its greatest length is 12 kilometers in the east–west direction.

Partalansaari is an island located in lake Saimaa. A large portion of the island belongs to the municipality of Sulkava while a smaller part belongs to Puumala.
