Nias Island

Samosir, or Samosir Island, is a large volcanic island in Lake Toba, located in North Sumatra Province on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. Administratively, Samosir Island is governed as six of the nine districts within Samosir Regency. The lake and island were formed after the eruption of the Toba supervolcano some 75,000 years ago.

Rupat Island
Rupat () is an island in the Strait of Malacca, and forms part of Bengkalis Regency within Riau, Indonesia. It lies just off the eastern coast of Sumatra, across from Dumai city, from which it is separated by the Rupat Strait (). Its area is . The island is sparsely populated (50,803 in mid-2024), with an average population density of 33.4 per km2. Rupat was one of thousands of abandoned islands, but its population is growing yearly, which has made the government expand the area for the settlement.

Rangsang Island
Rangsang is an island of the Meranti Islands Regency of Riau Province in the Strait of Malacca, Sumatra, Indonesia. Administratively, it consists of the three districts (kecamatan) of Rangsang, Rangsang Pesisir (Coastal Rangsang) and Rangsang Barat (West Rangsang); Rangsang District covers the eastern part of the island (including some smaller islands off its southeast end), while Rangsang Pesisir District covers the entire central part of the island.

Matak Island
Matak (Indonesian: Pulau Matak) is an island in the Anambas Islands of Indonesia, located in the South China Sea between the Malay Peninsula and Borneo. The island is a base for oil companies including ConocoPhillips, Premier Oil and Star Energy, and is served by Matak Airport (MWK/WIOM). The population of Matak Island is estimated to be in the range of 1500–2500. Residents usually work for the oil companies located on the island. There are also factories on the island, such as Kosel Yamato.
