is the pen name of a Japanese writer who is the leading member of the group 07th Expansion. He is the creator of the When They Cry visual novel series, which includes Higurashi When They Cry, Umineko When They Cry, and Ciconia When They Cry. His pen name originated from Final Fantasy, "Ryūkishi" being the term for "Dragoon" and "07" a play on words for "Lenna". His other notable works include Silent Hill f (2025) and Rewrite (2011).
