Kajaani (; ), is a town in Finland and the regional capital of Kainuu. Kajaani is located southeast of Lake Oulu, which drains into the Gulf of Bothnia through the Oulu River. The population of Kajaani is approximately , while the sub-region has a population of approximately . It is the most populous municipality in Finland.

Hokki
Kajaanin Hokki were a Finnish ice hockey team based in Kajaani. The team was founded in 1968 and folded in 2025 due to bankruptcy. The last season of Hokki was the 2024-25 Mestis season where they positioned last. Hokki was refounded and currently plays in the III-Divisioona.
