Hardangerfjord
The Hardangerfjord () is the fifth longest fjord in the world and the second longest fjord in Norway. It is located in the Hardanger region of Vestland county in western Norway. The fjord stretches from the Atlantic Ocean into the mountainous interior of Norway along the Hardangervidda plateau. The innermost point of the fjord reaches the town of Odda.
Norheimsund
Norheimsund is the administrative centre of Kvam Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern side of the Hardangerfjord, about from the city of Bergen. The village of Øystese lies about to the northeast and the village of Vikøy lies about southeast of Norheimsund. The village of Steine is a suburb, immediately to the west of Norheimsund.

Øystese is a village in Kvam Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located along the Hardangerfjord about east of the municipal centre of Norheimsund. Norwegian County Road 7 passes through the village.
Ålvik
Ålvik is a village in Kvam Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village "urban area" consists of the settlements of Ytre Ålvik and Indre Ålvik (outer and inner Ålvik) plus the nearby village of Vikedal. The settlements are located on either side of a ridge with Vikedal in between. Indre Ålvik has been heavily industrialised since the early 1900s, when Bjølvefossen A/S was established. The village lies along the Ålvik bay on the northern shore of the Hardangerfjord. Ålvik Church is located in the village.

Bjølsegrøvvatnet
Bjølsegrøvvatnet is a lake in Kvam Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lake lies at an elevation of above sea level in the mountains east of the Fyksesund fjord and northwest of the village of Ålvik. It has a dam on the southeastern tip of the lake to regulate the amount of water in it. The lake is used as a reservoir for the nearby Bjølvo hydroelectric power station.

The lake is located about southeast of the village of Dale (in Vaksdal Municipality) and about south of the village of Evanger (in Voss Municipality).

Fyksesund
Fyksesund () is a fjord in Kvam Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The long fjord is a branch off of the main Hardangerfjorden. It sits between the villages of Øystese and Ålvik, and it is surrounded by the Fyksesund Landscape Park. The fjord is spanned by the Fyksesund Bridge, which was opened by Crown Prince Olav in 1937.

Kvamskogen
Kvamskogen () is a forest and mountain plateau in the Hardanger region of Vestland county, Norway. It is located in Samnanger Municipality and Kvam Municipality. Traditionally, the term was used only for the parts of the plateau located in Kvam Municipality, but today it is used for the entire plateau. Kvamskogen contains several ski resorts, and more than 1700 cabins, the third highest concentration of cabins in the country.
