Cratomorphini
The Cratomorphini are a tribe of fireflies within the large subfamily Lampyrinae. The genera placed in this tribe often contain well-sized members of their family. The larvae of many species climb trees to feed on snails. This group includes a few "lightning bugs" (flashing fireflies) from North America, such as the genus Pyractomena. Further south in the American tropics, Aspisoma can be found.
Oculogryphus fulvus

Asymmetricata
Asymmetricata is a genus of fireflies found in tropical Asia. Species in the genus were formerly included in the genus Luciola. The genus was created in 2009 by Lesley Ballantyne who noted the asymmetric 8th abdominal tergite, emarginated on its left, as a shared feature. Adults of both males and females are winged. The larvae have been reliably described only in A. circumdata. They are terrestrial carnivores, feeding on snails and earthworms in moist soil below tree cover. The last abdominal segment bears an anchoring structure or pygopod with 58 or more pygopodia arising from it. thumb|left|

Phosphaenus
Phosphaenus hemipterus, the short-winged firefly or lesser glow worm, is a beetle in the monotypic genus Phosphaenus and the family Lampyridae. It is found in the Mediterranean, in Central Europe, west to the Atlantic Ocean and north to the edge of Scandinavia and in England. In North America, the species has been introduced. It inhabits meadows, floodplains, forest edges, and dry slopes, but also parks and gardens. In Britain, this species is fairly rare compared to the common glow-worm (Lampyris noctiluca).
Photinus marginellus
species of insect
Luciolinae
The Luciolinae are among the largest subfamilies of fireflies (Lampyridae). They seem to be all "flashing" (as opposed to "continuous-glow") fireflies. They are a diverse lineage, spreading throughout the warm parts of Eurasia into temperate Europe and East Asia and south to the Australian region.
Cladodes
In botany, "Cladodes" may refer to a synonym of the genus Alchornea or to the plural of "cladode".

Hyperstoma
Hyperstoma is a genus of firefly beetles in the family Lampyridae. The genus was considered Monotypic until a second species was described in 2011. The genus is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Ellychnia
Ellychnia is a genus of fireflies. First defined by Émile Blanchard in 1845, the genus contains 24 species, which are widespread in the United States. Adults are black, with rose-colored marks on the pronotum; sexual dimorphism is unknown. These beetles are active during the day, and have no light-producing organs as adults; instead, they attract mates using chemical signals. The larvae of Ellychnia fireflies live in rotting logs.
Alecton discoidalis
species of beetle
Oculogryphus
Oculogryphus, is an Asian genus of firefly beetles: it has been placed in the Ototretinae or may be considered incertae sedis. The genus contains 4 species. The type species O. fulvus was discovered from Vietnam.
Stenocladius
Stenocladius is an Asian genus of fireflies or glow-worms in the subfamily Ototretinae.
Tenaspis
Tenaspis is a genus of fireflies in the beetle family Lampyridae. There are about 18 described species in Tenaspis.
Pterotus
Pterotus is the sole genus in the firefly subfamily Pterotinae. It is characterized by flabellate antennae with three to ten antennomeres and rami, or branches, of the antennae longer than the antennomeres.
Photurinae
The Photurinae are a subfamily of the Lampyridae (fireflies). They are among the flashing (as opposed to continuously glowing) fireflies known as "lightning bugs" in North America. The anterior ends of the elytra sit higher than the pronotum, giving the Photurinae a characteristic "hunched" posture.

Atyphella
Atyphella is a genus of 'flashing' firefly (family Lampyridae) found in the Australasian region, particularly in the eastern and northern regions of Australia. The genus consists of 23 recognized species, 14 considered to be endemic to Australia.
