The Alborz (, ; also spelt Alburz, Elburz or Elborz) is a mountain range in northern Iran that stretches from the border of Azerbaijan along the western and entire southern coast of the Caspian Sea and finally runs northeast and merges into the smaller Aladagh Mountains and borders in the northeast on the parallel mountain ridge Kopet Dag in the northern parts of Khorasan. All these mountains are part of the much larger Alpide belt. The Alborz range is divided into the Western, Central, and Eastern Alb
Atrek River
The Atrek (, , ), also known as the Attrack, Atrak, and Etrek, is a fast-moving river which begins in the mountains of north-eastern Iran () and flows westward, draining into the south-eastern corner of the Caspian Sea in Turkmenistan. Because of the high use of its waters for irrigation, the Atrek only flows into the Caspian when it is in its flood stage.

Ashuradeh
Ashūradeh (), or Ashur Ada, besides Esmail Sai and Akaz islands, is one of the islands off the Iranian coast in the Caspian Sea (Gulf of Gorgan). Ashuradeh's surface area is . It is located in Torkaman County, Golestan province, at the eastern end of the Miankaleh peninsula, from Bandar Torkaman and from Gorgan.
