Tjeldsundet
Tjeldsundet (Norwegian; ) is a strait in Northern Norway. The long strait is located between the island of Hinnøya and mainland Norway in its northern part and between Hinnøya and the island of Tjeldøya in its southern part. Tjeldsundet has been an important waterway for more than 1,000 years and was well known and used during the Viking Age.
Gisundet
Gisundet is a strait in Senja Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The long strait separates the island of Senja from the mainland. The strait flows into the Malangen fjord in the north and into the Finnfjorden (and later the Solbergfjorden) in the south. The strait is crossed by the Gisund Bridge which connects the village of Silsand on the island to the town of Finnsnes on the mainland.
Tromsøysundet
or is a strait located in Tromsø Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The long strait separates the island of Tromsøya (the location of the city of Tromsø) from the mainland east of the island. The strait is crossed by the Tromsøysund Tunnel (E8 highway) and by the Tromsø Bridge. The strait ranges from about wide. The strait connects to the Balsfjorden and Straumsfjorden to the south and into the Kvalsundet and Grøtsundet straits to the north.

or is a strait between Tromsø Municipality and Karlsøy Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The long strait separates the islands of Reinøya and Ringvassøya from the mainland to the south. The strait has a width of . The strait is one of the main shipping lanes into the city of Tromsø, which lies about southwest of the strait.
