The Macrones (, ; , Makrōnes) were an ancient Colchian tribe in the east of Pontus, about the Moschian Mountains (mountains approximately south and east of modern Bayburt). The name is allegedly derived from the name of Kromni valley (Κορούμ, located north-east of Gümüşhane) by adding Kartvelian ma- prefix which denotes regional descendant.

Lazistan
Lazistan or Lazeti (; , or ჭანეთი, ''ch'aneti''; ) is a historical and cultural region of the Caucasus and Anatolia; the term was primarily used during Ottoman rule in the region. Traditionally inhabited by the Laz people and located mostly in Turkey, with small parts in Georgia, its area is about 7,000 km2 (2,703 sq mi) with a modern-day population of around 500,000 (including groups outside of the Laz peoples).
Sanni
The Sanni () are mentioned by Strabo (1st century BC/1st century AD), Pliny the Elder (1st century AD) and Arrian (2nd century AD) as a people settling near Trebizond (in today's Turkish Black Sea Region).
In the 1st and 2nd centuries AD, their territory extended to the north-east until the river Ophis, and covered both the littoral and the mountainous hinterland. Pliny grouped together the Sanni who lived in the region of Trebizond and the Heniochi as one single nation.
He also mentions other Sanni, living further on the Colchis littoral, past the mouth of the Rioni.
Amytzantarioi
The Amytzantarioi () or Amytzantarantes (Αμυτζανταράνται) were one of the most prominent groups in the history of the Empire of Trebizond in the civil wars of the mid-14th century, but their nature is disputed among scholars, with some considering them an aristocratic family, and others an ethnic group.
