Mecklenburg

Mecklenburgˈ from Mękel(n)borg ) is a historical region in what is now northern Germany comprising the western and larger part of the federal-state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The largest cities of the region are Rostock, Schwerin, Neubrandenburg, Wismar and Güstrow.
