It was founded in 2003 by Alexander Wesselsky and Noel Pix after their departure from Megaherz, with the founders describing their music as "modern, electronic trip-rock". Noel Pix departed in 2024; the band currently consists primarily of Wesselsky (vocals) and Rupert Keplinger (bass), with live support from Jürgen Plangger (rhythm guitar), Marc "Micki" Richter (lead guitar), and Achim Färber (drums). In the United States and Canada, their record label is currently Metropolis Records.

Blutengel (; stylized BlutEngel; German for "Blood Angel") is a German electronic music group formed by singer Chris Pohl (also of the groups Terminal Choice, Tumor and Miss Construction and the owner of the Fear Section label) after leaving Seelenkrank. The lyrics are written primarily in German and English and are presented with male and female vocals. The themes of the songs usually centre around themes common in Gothic fiction such as love, vampirism, sexual fetishism, death and immortality. The band calls their musical style "dark pop".

Wumpscut (stylised as :wumpscut: or simply :w:) is a gothic-influenced electro-industrial music project from Germany. It was founded in May 1991 by Bavarian disc jockey Rudolf "Rudy" Ratzinger (born 1966). Through 2016, Rudy Ratzinger released seventeen studio albums plus a number of compilations: demos, compilation tracks, and remixes from deleted singles and EPs.
