Mikkeli (; ; ; ) is a city in, and the regional capital of, South Savo, Finland, located in the Finnish Lakeland. The population is approximately , while the Mikkeli sub-region of South Savo has a population of approximately . Mikkeli is the most-populous municipality of Finland and the 19th most-populous urban area in the country.

Haukivuori
Haukivuori is a former municipality of Finland located in the province of Eastern Finland and part of the Southern Savonia region. The municipality had a population of 2,361 and covered an area of 505.11 km2, of which 108.07 km2 is water. The population density was 4.7 inhabitants per km2. On 1 January 2007, Haukivuori was incorporated into the city of Mikkeli.

Visulahti
Visulahti () is a dinosaur themed amusement park and tourist center opened in 1980 in Mikkeli, Finland, along the Lake Saimaa and the Kuopio Highway. It is similar to Tervakoski's Puuhamaa as there are no traditional amusement park equipment. It consists of three areas: Dinosauria, HyperDino and Visulahti Wax Cabinet. The Dinosauria has two different swimming pools and three large water slides. Visulahti also has accommodation and a camping site. Visulahti is owned by the Spanish Aspro Ocio S.A. through Puuharyhmä Oyj, which it acquired in 2007.
