Melangyna cincta
Fagisyrphus cinctus is a European species of hoverfly. This species has a muddled taxonomic history. Older authors treated it as a member of the genus Melangyna, and later sources in Meligramma (as either a separate genus or a subgenus of Melangyna), but the most recent sources recognize it as the sole species in its own monotypic genus, Fagisyrphus.
Amelibaea

It is only found in the Southwest Australian bioregion of Western Australia. Dependent on the rare Albany pitcher plant (Cephalotus follicularis) for its development, this fly is also a rare species.

Prosopea
Prosopea is a genus of flies in the family Tachinidae.
Paragodon
Paragodon paragoides is a small (4–5 mm) hoverfly which differs from other hoverflies by its simple male genitalia, and was accordingly considered the most primitive microdontine species. It is the sole member of the genus Paragodon, as the other known species was removed to a separate genus, Surimyia.
Hydromya
Hydromya dorsalis is a species of fly in the family Sciomyzidae. It is found in the Palearctic. It is the only species in the genus Hydromya. Males have two elongated processes on the anterior margin of the fourth abdominal sternite. Larvae of Hydromya dorsalis are adapted for aquatic life and prey on aquatic pulmonate snails: Galba truncatula, Lymnaea sp. and Stagnicola palustris. Because of this, they are commonly referred to as snail-killing flies. Adults are found on vegetation all year round but the main flight period is April to October. H. dorsalis is known from most of the Palaearctic

The genus and species were formally described by Aleksandr Stackelberg in 1927, from two males and a female that were collected by Alexei Fedchenko in 1869 from the Yaghnob Valley in what was then Russian Turkestan.
