Nemotha is a genus of praying mantids in the family Hymenopodidae: tribe Anaxarchini, containing a single described species, Nemotha metallica. The genus was previously placed in the Iridopterygidae, and two species have been placed in the revived genus Tricondylomimus. It is found in Asia.
Spinodares jenningsi
Spinodares is a monotypic stick insect genus endemic to Borneo, containing Spinodares jenningsi as the only valid species.

Kaurimyia thorpei
Kaurimyia is a monotypic genus of fly belonging to the family Apsilocephalidae. The sole species found in this genus is Kaurimyia thorpei. Both the genus and species were first described by Shaun L. Winterton and Michael Edward Irwin in 2008. Kaurimyia thorpei is endemic to New Zealand.
Dryococelus
Dryococelus australis, also known as the Lord Howe Island stick insect, Lord Howe Island phasmid or, locally, as the tree lobster, is a species of stick insect that lives in the Lord Howe Island Group. It is the only member of the monotypic genus Dryococelus. Thought to be extinct by 1920, it was rediscovered in 2001. Although it had been extirpated from Lord Howe itself, a remnant population of 24 individuals was rediscovered on the sea stack of Ball's Pyramid. The species has been called "the rarest insect in the world".
Hybophthirus
Hybophthirus notophallus is a member of the superfamily Anoplura, meaning it is an ectoparasite that feeds on the blood of its mammalian host. It is a highly specialized louse that parasitizes Orycteropus afer, commonly known as the aardvark. This louse is the only species within the genus Hybophthirus and the family Hybophthiridae.

Praedatophasma is a genus of insects in the family Mantophasmatidae. It is a monotypic genus consisting of the species Praedatophasma maraisi, which is endemic to southern Namibia.
Inimia
Inimia nat is a species of mantis in the family Nanomantidae and tribe Fulcinini, and it is the sole species in the genus Inimia. It is found in the vicinity of Crows Nest, a rural locality north of Toowoomba in south-eastern Queensland, Australia. Both the genus and species were described by Matthew Connors et al. in 2023.
