Thoracocarpus is a genus of plants first described as a genus in 1958. It contains only one known species, Thoracocarpus bissectus a hemiepiphytic vine. It is native to Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, and South America (Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador).

Dianthoveus is a genus of plants first described as a genus in 1989. It contains only one known species, Dianthoveus cremnophilus, native to Colombia and Ecuador in South America.

Acanthochlamys is a monotypic genus of herbaceous plants described as a genus in 1980. It has long been included in the Amaryllidaceae, but more recent systems place it in the Velloziaceae. Kao in 1989 placed in its own family, the Acanthochlamydaceae.

Kihansia is a genus of parasitic plants in the Triuridaceae, lacking chlorophyll and obtaining nutrients from fungi in the soil. It contains only one known species, Kihansia lovettii, endemic to the Ulanga District of Tanzania.
