Herrenchiemsee
Herrenchiemsee is a complex of royal buildings on Herreninsel, the largest island in the Chiemsee lake, in southern Bavaria, Germany. Together with the neighbouring isle of Frauenchiemsee and the uninhabited Krautinsel, it forms the municipality of Chiemsee, located about southeast of Munich in the district of Rosenheim.

thumb|Herrengasse in the Fuggerei The Fuggerei is the world's oldest public housing complex still in use. It is a walled enclave within the city of Augsburg, Bavaria. It takes its name from the Fugger family and was founded in 1516 by Jakob Fugger the Younger (known as "Jakob Fugger the Rich") as a place where the needy citizens of Augsburg could be housed. By 1523, 52 houses had been built, and in the coming years the area expanded with various streets, small squares and a church. The palace extends far back from the street, encompassing dozens of rooms, courtyards, and gardens. The gilded mirrored ballroom was built between 1765-1770 and has survived intact. It is widely regarded as the most artistically significant Rococo ballroom in Germany. Carl Albert von Lespilliez was the architect of the Schaezlerpalais.
