Madcon is a Norwegian musical duo formed in 1992 by Yosef Wolde-Mariam and Tshawe Baqwa. They have released eight albums as of 2018, and became known for their 2007 interpolation of the 1967 song "Beggin'" by The Four Seasons. They took their name from the phrase "mad conspiracy".

Dødheimsgard (also known as DHG) is a Norwegian extreme metal band formed in 1994. Dødheimsgard originally played black metal, but 1999's 666 International saw them change their style into experimental and avant-garde/industrial metal. In 2000, they shortened their name to DHG.

Trollfest (stylized as TrollfesT) is a Norwegian folk metal band. They released their debut album, Willkommen Folk Tell Drekka Fest, in 2005. The album name translates roughly to "Welcome Folk to the Drinking Feast" in English. Their second album, Brakebein, was released in 2006. The band performed at the 2007 Barther Metal Openair festival in Germany, which was their first-ever live appearance. In 2008, they played at the pagan metal Ragnarök Festival. In January 2022, the band were announced as an act in Melodi Grand Prix 2022 with the song "Dance Like a Pink Flamingo".

Gluecifer is a Norwegian hard rock band based in Oslo. Formed in 1994, the band gained fame as a part of the Scandinavian hard rock wave in the late 1990s and early 2000s alongside Turbonegro and The Hellacopters. Gluecifer released five studio albums before disbanding in 2005 and later reuniting in 2017.

Serena-Maneesh (previously spelled Serena Maneesh, sometimes shortened to S-M) is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed in Egersund in 1999. The band is led by founder and multi-instrumentalist Emil Nikolaisen and has had several different musicians contribute to studio recordings and live performances. Serena-Maneesh released two studio albums before going on hiatus in 2010.

The band was formed in 1993 with a line-up composed of lead vocalist Simone Eriksrud, bassist Jonny Sjo and drummer Kim Ofstad. After Eriksrud's initial departure in 2018, the band announced that they would continue as a duo and collaborate with various international artists to provide vocals for future material. Bae Louie band member Mirjam Omdal joined in 2019 as a lead vocalist. Eriksrud returned to the band as a touring and recording member in 2022.

They are generally regarded as one of the "Four Greats" in modern Norwegian pop music, i.e. one of the four 1980s groups that founded a new tradition for rock music with lyrics in Norwegian. He held the position as conductor until 2004, when Fredrik Otterstad took over. In 2019, Frikk Heide-Steen was hired as full-time conductor alongside Otterstad. The choir had its first rehearsals in Grythes apartment in Oslo, but were soon offered to rehearse in Norwegian Broadcasting’s (NRK) facilities. Sylvaine is the solo music project of Norwegian metal multi-instrumentalist Kathrine Shepard. The project began in Oslo in 2013 and has released four albums to date. In 2019, Shepard became the first woman to earn a nomination for best metal album at the Spellemannprisen, for her third album, Atoms Aligned, Coming Undone (2018).
