Namsen
or is one of the longest rivers in Trøndelag county, in the central part of Norway. The long river flows through the municipalities of Røyrvik, Namsskogan, Grong, Overhalla, and Namsos before emptying into the Namsenfjorden. The river is the namesake for the whole Namdalen region. The river traditionally has been used for floating timber down from the forests to the town of Namsos, where the sawmills were located. Today, parts of the Namsen are regulated by several dams.
Salvatnet
Salvatnet is a lake in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. With its deepest depth of , it is Norway's and Europe's second-deepest lake, after Hornindalsvatnet. Alternate sources give the depth as either (old manual method) or (modern echo sounding method) at the deepest point. The lake sits close to the Norwegian Sea, about above sea level at the surface and reaches to a depth of below sea level. It is a large lake with an area of , a volume of , and a shoreline that is around.

Otterøya
Otterøya is an island in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island is the largest island in the northern part of Trøndelag county. Otterøya sits just to the northwest of the town of Namsos on the north side of the Namsenfjorden. It is connected to the mainland by the Lokkaren Bridge. The island was once governed by Otterøy Municipality and Fosnes Municipality, and became a part of Namsos Municipality in 1964. Otterøy Church is located on the island.

Jøa
Jøa is an island in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island lies on the south side of the Foldafjord, between the mainland and the islands of Otterøya and Elvalandet. The island is partially forested, with the southern part being flat and marshy, and the northern part being more mountainous. The tall Moldvikfjellet is the highest point on the island.
Namsenfjorden
Namsenfjorden is a fjord in Trøndelag county, Norway. The long fjord flows along the border between Namsos Municipality and Flatanger Municipality. It runs southeast from the Folda firth, between the mainland in the south and the island of Otterøya in the north, past the island of Hoddøya, to the Namsen river estuary in the town of Namsos. The banks of the fjord are mostly wooded and not very high. Near the town of Namsos, the Løgnin fjord arm branches to the south all the way to the village of Sjøåsen in Namsos Municipality. Finnvollvatnet is a lake in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The lake lies in the western part of the municipality, southwest of the village of Sverkmoen, and only about from the border with the neighboring Osen Municipality. The lake flows out into the Sverka river which eventually ends up in the Namsenfjorden.
