Ascarididae
The Ascarididae are a family of the large intestinal roundworms. Members of the family are intestinal parasites, infecting all classes of vertebrates. It includes a number of genera, the most well known of which are:
Oxyuridae
Oxyuridae is a family of nematode worms of the class Secernentea.
Ancylostomatidae
The Ancylostomatidae are a family of worms that includes the hookworms.
Anisakidae
The Anisakidae are a family of intestinal nematodes (roundworms). The larvae of these worms can cause anisakiasis when ingested by humans, in raw or insufficiently cooked fish.
Heteroderidae
Heteroderidae is a family of nematodes. The name comes from the Greek heteros = other and deras = skin (derm). This "refers to the different 'skins' of female and cyst."
Trichuridae
The roundworm family Trichuridae includes the type genus Trichuris and some less widely known members. They are (after the abolishment of the artificial "Adenophorea" assemblage) placed in subclass Dorylaimia of the class Enoplea; however, the former might be better treated as a class in its own right. That nonwithstanding, their order (Trichocephalida) has been known under alternate names in the past, namely Trichiurida.
Filariidae
Filariidae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Rhabditida.
Mermithidae
Mermithidae is a family of nematode worms that are endoparasites in arthropods. As early as 1877, Mermithidae was listed as one of nine subdivisions of the Nematoidea. Mermithidae are confused with the horsehair worms of the phylum Nematomorpha that have a similar life history and appearance.
Onchocercidae
The Onchocercidae are a family of nematodes in the superfamily Filarioidea. This family includes some of the most devastating human parasitic diseases, such as lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, loiasis, and other filariases.
Toxocaridae
thumb|Toxocara canis adult worms The Toxocaridae are a zoonotic family of parasitic nematodes that infect canids and felids and which cause toxocariasis in humans (visceral larva migrans and ocular larva migrans). The worms are unable to reproduce in humans.

The family Trichinellidae includes the genus Trichinella.

The Rhabditidae are a family of nematodes which includes the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans.
Trichostrongylidae
Trichostrongylidae is a family of nematode in the suborder Strongylida.
Syngamidae
The Syngamidae are a family of nematodes which commonly parasitize mammals, birds, and rarely humans. They are classified in the Strongyloidae superfamily and Strongylata order.
Strongylidae
Strongyles (from Greek strongulos 'round'), or alternatively, strongyls, are nematode worms of the family Strongylidae, order Strongylida. They are often parasitic in the gastrointestinal tract of mammals, especially grazers such as sheep, cattle, and horses.
Tylenchidae
Tylenchidae is a family of nematodes. They are an important group of soil dwelling species that frequently contributes as much as 30% to the nematode species richness of soil samples. They diverged relatively early on and many species pose little risk to economically important plant species. Due to their early divergence, species tend to have relatively basal characteristics. They tend to be small and slender with small and delicate piercing mouthparts.
Anguinidae
Anguinidae is a family of nematodes.
Desmodoridae
Desmodoridae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Desmodorida.
Metastrongylidae
The Metastrongylidae are a family of nematodes.
Panagrolaimidae
Panagrolaimidae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Rhabditida.
Spiruridae
Spiruridae is family of nematodes in the order Spirurida. An unidentified parasitic larval member of this family has been recorded in the marsh rice rat (Oryzomys palustris) in a salt marsh at Cedar Key, Florida, and also in fiddler crabs (Uca) there; it is perhaps a bird parasite that does not reach maturity in the rice rat.
Oncholaimidae
Oncholaimidae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Enoplida.
Thelaziidae
Thelaziidae is a family of spirurian nematodes, which form the mid-sized lineage of the superfamily Thelazioidea. Like all nematodes, they have neither a circulatory nor a respiratory system.
Criconematidae
Criconematidae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Tylenchida.
Chromadoridae
Chromadoridae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Chromadorida.
Pratylenchidae
Pratylenchidae is a family of plant pathogenic nematodes.
Leptolaimidae
Leptolaimidae is a family of nematodes belonging to the order Araeolaimida.
