The alt-right (abbreviated from alternative right) is a far-right and white nationalist movement. A largely online phenomenon, the alt-right originated in the United States during the late 2000s before increasing in popularity and establishing a presence in other countries during the mid-2010s. The term is ill-defined and has been used in different ways by academics, journalists, media commentators, and alt-right members themselves.
Strasserism
Strasserism ( or ) refers to a dissident, far-right ideology based on Nazism, named after brothers Gregor and Otto Strasser, who were associated with the early Nazi movement. It shares Nazism's core rhetoric of revolutionary nationalism, racism, anti-capitalism, antisemitism, and anti-communism, as well as its populist tactics. Fundamentally, it fits into a broader "Third Positionist" pattern of strategically appropriating socialist-sounding rhetoric to advance an ultranationalist agenda, a tactic it shares with foundational historical fascist movements, including those of Hitler and Mussolini

crypto-fascism
Crypto-fascism is the secret support or admiration of fascism or of associated trends. The term is used to imply that an individual or a group keeps this support or admiration hidden in an attempt to avoid political persecution or political suicide. A person, an organization or an idea which possesses this tendency would be described as "crypto-fascist". Alternatively, the definition can be used in reference to individuals or organizations which operate in a democratic framework but espouse fascist beliefs or ideologies which are politically close to fascism.

The ethnocacerist movement (, also sometimes referred to as the or "Peruvian Nationalist Movement") is a Peruvian ethnic nationalist movement that espouses an ideology called ethnocacerism (). The movement seeks to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat led by the country's Indigenous communities and their descendants. It draws on the ideas and history of several Indigenous and anti-colonial movements, including those of Juan Velasco Alvarado, Evo Morales, Gamal Abdel Nasser, Muammar Gaddafi, and Che Guevara. Post-fascism is a label that identifies political parties and movements that transition from a fascist political ideology to a more moderate and mainline form of conservatism, abandoning the totalitarian traits of fascism and taking part in constitutional politics. At the same time, they still retain many non-totalitarian features of fascism, such as nationalism, anti-communism, anti-liberalism, and skepticism toward liberal democracy. The term "democratic fascism" has also been used.
