The Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (; , COPPPAL) is an international organization of political parties in Latin America and the Caribbean. It was created at the behest of the Institutional Revolutionary Party on 12 October 1979 in Oaxaca, Mexico, and brings together liberal, social democratic, Christian democratic, and other leftist political parties. Its first president (1979–1981) was Gustavo Carvajal Moreno of Mexico (PRI). Its current president is the Mexican politician Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas (PRI).

Al-Haq
Al-Haq (; or "the Right") is a Palestinian non-governmental human rights organization based in the city of Ramallah in the West Bank. Founded in 1979, Al-Haq monitors and documents human rights violations committed by parties to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, issuing reports on its findings and producing detailed legal studies. It is in special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2000.

Koevoet
Koevoet (, Afrikaans for crowbar, also known as Operation K or SWAPOL-COIN) was the counterinsurgency branch of the South West African Police (SWAPOL). Its formations included white South African police officers, usually seconded from the South African Security Branch or Special Task Force, and black volunteers from Ovamboland. Koevoet was patterned after the Selous Scouts, a multiracial Rhodesian military unit which specialised in counter-insurgency operations. Its title was an allusion to the metaphor of "prying" insurgents from the civilian population.

Tehrik-e-Niswan () (The Women's Movement) is a women's organization in Pakistan. Tehrik-e-Niswan was formed in 1979 in Karachi, Sindh by Sheema Kermani. Tehrik-e-Niswan was founded in 1979 to use the performing arts as a medium for giving Rights messages to working class women and the marginalized communities. Soon after its formation, in 1980, Zia-ul-Haq's regime, banned the dance performances, Tehrik used performances as a medium for spreading the message of peace, equality and harmony for women.

The NETA Association (Asociación Pro-Derechos del Confinado, "Association for Prisoners' Rights", Asociación NETA, or simply NETA) is the name of a gang that began in the Puerto Rico prison system and spread to the United States mainland. Although Puerto Rico has many small street gangs claiming its poorer neighborhoods, NETAS is by far the largest and most dominant, controlling the illegal drug trade in the island's prison system.
