The village is located on the northern coast of the island of Osterøy, at the end of the long Lonevågen fjord, which branches off the main Osterfjorden. There are some shops and some small industry in the village.

Valestrandsfossen or Valestrandfossen is a village in Osterøy Municipality in Vestland county. It lies along the Sørfjorden, just across the fjord from Bergen Municipality and about northeast of the city of Bergen, the second largest city in Norway. Valestrandsfossen lies about to the southwest of the village of Lonevåg, about southeast of the village of Hamre, and about northwest of the village of Haus.

Fotlandsvåg is a village in Osterøy Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern shore of the island of Osterøy, along the Osterfjorden. The village lies in the northeastern part of the municipality, about southwest of the village of Tysso and about the same distance northeast of the village of Hosanger. The village of Ostereidet (in Alver Municipality) lies just across the wide Osterfjorden.

Osterfjorden
Osterfjorden is a fjord in Vestland county, Norway. The fjord is one of three fjords surrounding the island of Osterøy. The fjord runs along the border of Alver Municipality and Osterøy Municipality. The fjord begins at the Romarheimsfjorden and flows to the west for before ending near the village of Knarvik at the confluence of four fjords: Osterfjorden, Radfjorden (to the north), Sørfjorden (to the south), and Salhusfjorden (to the west). The Osterfjorden is generally about wide and the deepest point in the fjord reaches a depth of below sea level.

Høgafjellet
Høgafjellet is a mountain on the island of Osterøy in Vestland county, Norway. Høgafjellet sits on the border between Osterøy Municipality and Vaksdal Municipality, about east of the village of Fotlandsvåg and about west of the Veafjorden. The tall mountain is the highest mountain on the island and in all of Osterøy Municipality.
