Rangaraj Subbiah (born 3 October 1954), known professionally as Sathyaraj, is an Indian actor, film producer and media personality who appears predominantly in Tamil films. He also appears in works in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. He has acted in more than 260 films. He is a recipient of three Filmfare Award South and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Palaniswamy (born 27 October 1941), known by his stage name Sivakumar, is an Indian visual artist and former actor who has appeared in Tamil cinema and television. He made his acting debut in Kaakum Karangal (1965) and has worked in 195 movies, predominantly in Tamil cinema. For his Ever Younger appearance Sivakumar is credited as Markandeyan of Tamil Cinema. He has won three Filmfare Awards South and two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.

Manivannan (31 July 1953 – 15 June 2013) was an Indian actor, film director, screenwriter, voice artist, playback singer and social activist who worked in Tamil cinema. Subramaniyan Karuppaiya (born 25 May 1939), known by his stage name Goundamani, is an Indian actor and comedian who works in Tamil cinema. He is known for his comic duo partnership in Tamil films with fellow actor Senthil. The pair dominated the Tamil industry as comedians in the 1980s and 90s.

Rangammal K. R. also known fondly among social circles as Rangammal Paati (died 29 April 2022) was an Indian actress who appeared in comedy roles as well as supporting roles in Tamil-language films during her career. She had acted in over 1000 films in her career spanning over six decades. She shared screen space with different generations of actors.

In the Siddhar tradition of Tamil Nadu, Korakkar is one of the 18 esteemed Siddhars of yore, and is better known as Gorakhnath in North India. Siddhar Agastya and Siddhar Bhogar were his gurus. There is a temple in Vadukku Poigainallur, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu which specifically houses his Jeeva Samadhi. According to one account, he spent much of his youth in the Velliangiri Mountains, Coimbatore.
