Abacá ( ; ), also known as Manila hemp, is a species of banana, Musa textilis, endemic to the Philippines. The plant grows to , and averages about . The plant has great economic importance, being harvested for its fiber extracted from the leaf-stems.

The songkok (Jawi: ) or peci or kopiah (Pegon: ) is a fez widely worn in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the southern Philippines, southern Thailand and Malay World most commonly among Muslim males. It has the shape of a truncated cone, usually made of black or embroidered felt, cotton or velvet.
