Islamabad
Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan. It is the country's tenth-most populous city with a population of over 1.1 million; and is federally administered by the Pakistani government as part of the Islamabad Capital Territory — with a metropolitan population of over 2.3 million. Built as a planned city in the 1960s and established in 1967 along the Margalla Hills, Islamabad replaced Karachi as Pakistan's national capital. It is located north of the city of Rawalpindi, the largest in northern Punjab, with which it forms a metropolitan area of over 5.7 million inhabitants.
Faisalabad
Faisalabad, formerly known as Lyallpur, is the second-largest city and primary industrial center of the Pakistani province of Punjab. Located in the Rachna Doab of the central Punjab, it is the third-most populous city in Pakistan. Established in 1890s as a planned city, the population of the city increased six times in the decade following the partition of British India as hundreds of thousands of East Punjabi Muslim immigrants settled the city.
Gwadar
Gwadar (, ) is a port city on the southwestern coast of the Pakistani province of Balochistan. It is on the shores of the Arabian Sea, opposite Oman, and had a population of over 90,000 in 2017 census. It was an overseas possession of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman from 1783 to 1958, when it was purchased by Pakistan. It is about southwest of Turbat. The sister port city of Chabahar in Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province is about to the west. On 2 April 2021, Gwadar was declared the winter capital of Balochistan.
Sargodha
Sargodha is the sixth-largest city in the Pakistani province of Punjab. Located along the Kirana Hills in central Punjab, it serves as the headquarters of its eponymous district and division. Sargodha is the 11th-most populous city in Pakistan, being one of the fastest-growing cities of the country. It is also known as the City of Eagles. It is one of the few planned cities of Pakistan (others include Faisalabad, Islamabad and Gwadar).
