microbead
thumb|400px|Microbead legislation around the world Microbeads are manufactured solid plastic particles of less than one millimeter in their largest dimension. They are most frequently made of polyethylene but can be of other petrochemical plastics such as polypropylene and polystyrene. They are used in exfoliating personal care products, toothpastes, and in biomedical and health-science research.
mixing
process of mechanically manipulating a heterogeneous mixture to make it more homogeneous
pultrusion
Pultrusion is a continuous process for manufacture of fibre-reinforced plastics with constant cross-section. The term is a portmanteau word, combining "pull" and "extrusion". As opposed to extrusion, which pushes the material, pultrusion pulls the material.
plastic particle water pollution
marine debris from plastic particles used to manufacture large-scale plastics
burr
raised edge or small pieces of material remaining attached to a workpiece after a modification process

pre-production plastic pellets
spinning
manufacturing of polymer fibres
Plastisol
thumb|A plastisol being poured A plastisol is a colloidal dispersion of small polymer particles, usually polyvinyl chloride (PVC), in a liquid plasticizer. When heated to around , the plastic particles absorb the plasticizer, causing them to swell and fuse together forming a viscous gel. Once this is cooled to below it becomes a flexible, permanently plasticized solid product. This process is called 'curing'.

industrial sector
spinneret
any structure natural or artificial used to extrude polymers into fibers
Mario Maccaferri
Italian luthier and guitarist (1900-1993)
electron beam processing
process which involves using electrons, usually of high energy, to treat an object for a variety of purposes
resin casting
method of plastic casting where a mold is filled with a liquid synthetic resin, which then hardens. It is primarily used for small-scale production like industrial prototypes and dentistry
Plastics extrusion

sprue
channel through which liquid material enters a mold, or excess material that solidifies in such a channel and is later removed
draft
the angle added to features perpendicular to the parting line of a casting or molding
