Kilkis (; Bulgarian and Macedonian: Кукуш) is a city in Central Macedonia, Greece. As of 2021, there were 24,130 people living in the city proper, 27,493 people living in the municipal unit, and 45,308 in the municipality of Kilkis. It is also the capital city of the regional unit of Kilkis.

Axioupoli (), known until 1927 as Boymitsa (Боймица, Μποέμιτσα), is a small town and a former municipality in the former Paionia Province of Kilkis regional unit, Greek Macedonia. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Paionia, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 284.406 km2. In 2021 the town had a population of 2,834, and the municipal unit 4,794.

Goumenissa ( ) is a small traditional town in the Kilkis regional unit, Macedonia, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the Paionia Municipality, of which it is a community and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 208.949 km2. The 2021 census recorded 3,292 residents in the community and 5,157 residents in the municipal unit. The town sits on the southeastern part of the Paiko mountain range. Located 69 km northwest of Thessaloniki, 539 km north of Athens and 20 km north of Pella, the ancient capital of the Greek kingdom of Macedonia.

The main border crossing between Greece and North Macedonia is located here. The village across the border from Evzonoi is Bogorodica, in Gevgelija municipality. The Greek A1 motorway from Athens, which is part of the European route E75, ends here.

Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kilkis, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 138.660 km2. Population 1,846 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Stathmos Mourion (Mouries Station). During the Macedonian Struggle, the inhabitants of the Mouries area fought hard against the Bulgarian enemy. Stavros Pallas, a Greek Macedonian fighter from Mouries, was one of the great fighters in the area.

The community Kampanis (pop. 999 in 2021) consists of the villages Kampanis and Mylos. Kampanis was named after a Greek army officer who died in the area during the Macedonian War of 1913–14.

In 2021 its population was 318 for the community, which includes the village Kyriakaiika. It is situated 9 km west of Kilkis, 17 km east of Polykastro and 42 km north of Thessaloniki. The village has a primary school, a high school, a stadium and three churches. The protector saint is St. John the Baptist, and the village is named after him. There are an athletic club "A.C. Doxa Vaptisti" and a cultural one "Politistikos Syllogos Vaptisti".
