Kisumu
Kisumu ( ) is the fifth-largest city in Kenya located in the Lake Victoria area in the former Nyanza Province. It is the third-largest city in the Lake Victoria Basin after Kampala, and Mwanza. The city has a population of 438,588 according to the recent 2026 population estimates. The metro region, including Maseno and Ahero, had a population of 6,771 (Maseno) and 11,801 (Ahero) people respectively, totaling to a combined population of 457,160 people, according to the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census which was conducted by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

Migori, also known as Suna-Migori, is a multi-ethnic municipal town which acts as the capital of Migori County, Kenya. The town is located 63 kilometers south of Kisii town and 22 km north of the Tanzanian border. The Migori Metropolitan area consists of Migori municipality and the adjacent smaller towns. The area has eight constituencies, namely Rongo, Awendo, Suna East, Suna West, Uriri, Nyatike, Kuria East and Kuria West with a total population of 393,012 according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics-sponsored national census

Siaya is a municipality and the capital of Siaya County, Kenya. It is located northwest of Kisumu. The urban center had a population of 33,153 in 2019.

Maseno
Maseno is a town in Kisumu County, Kenya. It is located along Kisumu - Busia highway 25 kilometers to the county capital in the north west direction. Another road connects Maseno to Vihiga town, located 15 kilometers east of Maseno. The equator passes through Maseno. Kombewa is located 10 kilometers west of Maseno. The altitude of Maseno is 1,503 metres or 4,934 feet above sea level.

Ugunja town is a market town in western Kenya, located in Ugunja Division, Siaya County. It has a population of approximately 17,000 and is rapidly growing. Ugunja Division had a population of 79,113 according to the 1999 Kenyan census. This population grew to 104,241 people (48,912 males and 55,329 females) according 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census which was conducted by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). Most of the inhabitants in Ugunja are Luos.

Ogembo
Ogembo is a small farming town in Kisii County, Kenya. Her inhabitants are the abagusii community. The town started around 1860 by the locals and around 1920s it became a commercial center for the Indians and a government centre for the colonial rule in the area. The surrounding area is well known for banana farming and tea farming. Ogembo is located 380 km west of Nairobi and has a population of 20,000.

Muhoroni is a town in Kisumu County, Kenya. Muhoroni hosts a town council. It had an urban population of 13,664 and a total population of 31,148 (1999 census ). Muhoroni has a railway station along the Nairobi-Kisumu Railway. The town is located 50 kilometres east of Kisumu. Chemelil, a smaller town, is located 10 kilometres west of Muhoroni. The cost of living in Muhoroni is so high, coupled with a scarcity of housing facilities.

Awendo, also sometimes referred to as Sare–Awendo or Sare, is a town in Migori County, Kenya. It was founded during the colonial era on the site of an earlier precolonial trading centre. The South Nyanza Sugar Company's factory, which opened in 1980, is a major source of income for Awendo and the surrounding region.
Chemelil
Chemelil is a town in Kisumu County, Kenya. It is part of Muhoroni District. Chemelil has a railway station along the Nairobi-Kisumu Railway line between the stations of Kibigori and Muhoroni. The town is located 40 kilometres east of Kisumu, the county capital. Muhoroni, another town, is located 10 kilometres east of Chemelil.
