Giannitsa
Giannitsa ( , in English also Yannitsa) is a city in northern Greece, geographically situated in Macedonia and administratively belonging to Central Macedonia. It is the largest urban center of the regional unit of Pella, its historical capital, and the administrative seat of the municipality of Pella. According to the 2021 census, Giannitsa has 32,410 inhabitants. The Municipal Unit of Giannitsa covers an area of 208.105 km2, and includes the following settlements: Ampeleies, Archontiko, Asvestario, Damiano, Eleftherochori, Leptokarya, Melissi, Mesiano, and Paralimni.

Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Pella, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 181.415 km2. Population 5,680 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Mylotopos. The municipality took its name from the ancient Macedonian town Cyrrhus, which was located near ancient Pella.

Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Almopia, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 422.907 km2. Population 6,105 (2021). In 1912 the village numbered 1,315 residents exclusively Pomak Muslims.

Sarakinoi (, before 1925: Σαρακίνοβο – Sarakinovo) is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Aridaia in the western Pella regional unit, Greece. In 2021 its population was 398 for the community, which includes the village Kato Koryfi. Sarakinoi is located in the southeastern part of the Voras Mountains, at 640 m elevation. It is 5 km west of Polykarpi, 6 km south of Loutraki, 11 km southwest of Aridaia and 15 km northwest of Edessa. Forests cover most of the area.

The municipal unit has an area of 289.987 km2. Population 3,197 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Arnissa. The municipality was named after the Lake Vegoritida, and is situated on the northeastern shore of this lake.
