The town Domokos is the seat of the municipality of Domokos and of the former Domokos Province. The town is built on a mountain slope overlooking the plain of Thessaly, 38 km from the city of Lamia.

Atalanti ( Atalantē) is the second largest town in Phthiotis, Greece. It is located southeast of Lamia, north of Livadeia and northwest of Chalcis. In 2011, it was incorporated into the municipality of Lokroi with an area of 614.7 km2 and a population of 19,623 (2011 census), of which it is the government seat and a municipal unit.

The municipal unit has an area of 229.366 km2, the community 108.124 km2. At the 2021 census, the population of the municipal unit was 2,996 and of the community 2,157. Elateia
Elateia (; ) was an ancient Greek city of Phthiotis, and the most important place in that region after Delphi. It is also a modern-day town that is a former municipality in the southeastern part of Phthiotis. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is a municipal unit of the municipality Amfikleia-Elateia. Its population is 2,804 inhabitants (2021 census) and its land area is 154.361 km2. The municipal seat was the town of Eláteia (pop. 2,002); other communities are Zeli (466), Panagítsa (148), Lefkochóri (99) and Sfáka (89).

Malesina
Malesina () is a town and a former municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Since 2011 the local government reform, it became a part of the new municipality Lokroi, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 103.712 km2. Malesina is located in the former Locris Province, in south-east Phthiotis. It is at the 125th kilometer of Greek National Road 1. The municipal unit covers the peninsula Aetolimni. The town is surrounded by olive groves, vines and fields. The town was founded by Arvanites settlers in between 1466 and 1485 the smallest city in Greece.

Molos (, meaning “Jetty”) is a town and a former municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it has been a part of the municipality Kamena Vourla, of which it is a municipal unit. Kalapodi () is a village in the Lokroi municipality, Phthiotis, Central Greece. Lokroi straddles the pass leading over the low mountains between the Bay of Atalantis in the Gulf of Euboea to the plains of Boeotia north of Lake Copais. The road is often termed the Atalanti-Livadeia. The community of Atalanti, the chief deme of Lokroi, overlooks the Bay of Atalantis, while Livadeia is the current capital of Boeotia.

In October 1917, during World War I, the 49th Stationary Hospital was established at Bralos along with rest and recuperation camps for Allied troops. It remained in use until April 1919. Kyrtoni
Kyrtoni (, before 1987: Κολάκα - Kolaka) is a village in the southeastern part of Phthiotis, Greece. It is part of the municipality of Lokroi since 2010. It was an independent commune between the 1820s and 1907, and was part the municipality of Atalanti between 1907 and 2010. In 2021 its population was 348. It is situated at 480 m elevation on the southern slope of the Chlomo mountain. It is 8 km southeast of Atalanti and 12 km northeast of Orchomenos. Its main industry is agriculture. The village takes its name from the ancient town Cyrtone.

Dafnousia
Dafnousia () is a former municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Lokroi, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 77.374 km2. In 2021 its population was 3,387. The seat of the municipality was in Livanates where three quarters of the population live. Dafnousia borders on the municipal unit of Atalanti to the south, and Agios Konstantinos to the west. The name of the municipality comes from the ancient city of "Dafnous" or "Dafnountas" (probably today's Agios Konstantinos village).
Giannitsou
Giannitsou () is a semi-mountainous village, altitude of ~300m above the sea level, in western Phthiotis/Central Greece, with about 400 inhabitants. It is located north of Makrakomi and 36 km northwest of Lamia. After the recent reorganization of administrative divisions (Kallikratis Plan) it is part of the municipality of Makrakomi. In walking distance from the village there is a pre-Ottoman-era settlement which is yet unexplored, called Lavanitsa.
Opuntii Municipal Unit
Opountioi () is a former municipality in Phthiotis, Greece with an area 129.534 km2 and a population of 2,923 inhabitants (2021 census). It was established in 1997 from the former communities Larymna and Martino. The name refers to the ancient Greek city Opus and its inhabitants (Opountean Locrians). Since the 2011 local government reform, it is a part of the municipality Lokroi, of which it is a municipal unit. The seat of the municipality was Martino (pop. 1,722 in 2021).
Xyniada
Xyniada () or Xynias (Ξυνιάς) is a village and a former municipality in Phthiotis, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Domokos, of which it is a municipal unit. In the 2021 census, the municipal unit was recorded as having 2,264 inhabitants, and the village of Xyniada itself 301. The municipal unit has an area of 206.820 km2. The village takes its name from Lake Xyniada, which covered the local plain until it was drained in 1936–42. The ruins of the ancient city of Xyniae (medieval Ezeros) are nearby.

The municipal unit has an area of 133.052 km2. Population 3,279 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Raches. The name of the municipality derives from the inhabitants of the ancient city of "Echinos", today's Achinos village.
