Prehistoric jawless fish genera

Haikouichthys is an extinct genus of primitive jawless fish that lived during the Cambrian period, 518 million years ago, in what is now the Yunnan Province of China. Alongside Myllokunmingia and Zhongjianichthys, it is considered to be the earliest known vertebrate animal in the fossil record.

The holotype of the type species, Myllokunmingia fengjiaoa — and the only uncontroversial specimen thereof — was found in the Yuanshan member of the Qiongzhusi Formation in the Eoredlichia Zone near Haikou at Ercaicun, Kunming City,

As a myllokunmingiid, it is considered one of the earliest known vertebrates in the fossil record alongside the other two identified genera, Haikouichthys and Myllokunmingia. Like its confamilials, its fossils were found in the Maotianshan Shales in Yunnan province.

Dunyu (meaning "shield fish" in Hanyu Pinyin) is an extinct genus of eugaleaspidiform galeaspid known from the Silurian of Yunnan, southwestern China. Two species are known: D longiforus, the type species and D. xiushanensis, which was initially named as a species of Eugaleaspis. The type specimen of D. longiforus is IVPP V 17681, a complete cephalic shield prepared by C. H. Xiong, and the holotype of D. xiushanensis is IVPP V 6793.1, another complete cephalic shield.

Neeyambaspis enigmatica ("Enigmatic shield of Neeyamba Hill") is the lesser known of the two species of pituriaspid agnathans. The species lived in estuaries during the Middle Devonian, in what is now the Georgina Basin of Western Queensland, Australia.

Pituriaspis doylei is one of two known species of jawless fish belonging to the class Pituriaspida, and is the better known of the two. The species lived in estuaries during the Givetian epoch of the Middle Devonian, 390 million years ago in what is now the Georgina Basin of Western Queensland, Australia.
