Priabonian genera

The moonfish of the genus Mene, the sole extant genus of the family Menidae, are disk-shaped fish which bear a vague resemblance to gourami, thanks to their lateral compression and thread-like pelvic fins. Today, the genus is represented only by Mene maculata of the Indo-Pacific, where it is a popular food fish, especially in the Philippines, where it is known as bilong-bilong, chabita, hiwas or tahas.

Megacerops ("large-horned face") is an extinct genus of brontothere, an extinct group of rhinoceros-like browsers traditionally classified as relatives of horses. Megacerops was endemic to North America during the Late Eocene, during the Chadronian land mammal age.

Microperittia is an extinct genus of moths in the family Elachistidae. It was described by Kozlov in 1987. It contains the species M. proboscifera, which was described from Baltic amber, more specifically Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
