Protostome subfamilies

Tridacninae, common name the giant clams, is a taxonomic subfamily of very large saltwater clams, marine bivalve molluscs in the family Cardiidae, the cockles.

Ommastrephinae is a subfamily of squids under the family Ommastrephidae.

Ergalataxinae is a taxonomic subfamily of small to medium-sized predatory sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks within the family Muricidae, the rock snails. In this subfamily, the aragonitic shell has 0–2 varices.

The subfamily Fulgorariinae contains sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Volutidae.
