Goldikova
Goldikova (15 March 2005 – 5 January 2021) was an Irish-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse who was the 2010 European Horse of the Year. A filly, Goldikova won a total of 14 Group One races in her home country, Great Britain and the United States, with nine victories over male horses. She is the only European-trained horse to have won more than ten Group One races. Trained by Freddy Head, Goldikova is the only horse to have won three (2008, 2009, 2010) Breeders' Cup Mile races. She was ridden by Olivier Peslier in all of her races.
Ourasi
Ourasi (7 April 1980 – 12 January 2013) was a chestnut French Trotter. He earned $2,913,314 during his career. His harness racing victories included three consecutive Prix d'Amérique at Vincennes, the second by approximately 18 lengths. Ourasi is considered to be the horse of the century. He won more than 50 consecutive races. Jean-René Gougeon (who died in July 2008), his trainer and driver, won the "Prix d'Amérique" with Ourasi 3 times. Ourasi won the "Prix d'Amérique" a fourth time with Michel "Minou" Gougeon (the brother of Jean René Gougeon) as driver.
