Svartisen
Svartisen is a collective term for two glaciers located in Nordland county in northern Norway. It is part of Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park, located in the Saltfjell mountain range. The glaciers are located in the municipalities of Beiarn, Meløy, Rana, and Rødøy. Svartisen consists of two separate glaciers that are separated by the long Vesterdalen valley. The two glaciers are:

Storforsheia is a village in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located in the Dunderland Valley, along the river Ranelva, about northeast of the town of Mo i Rana. The European route E06 and the Nordland Line both pass through the village. The village of Nevernes and the Nevernes Church both lie about to the south.

It has a total depth of and explored length of . It is probably connected to the nearby Setergrotta. The cave is equipped with artificial lights and open for tourists.

Selfors sits on the northern shore of the river Ranelva in the northeastern part of the town of Mo i Rana. The European route E06 highway passes through the neighborhood. Gubbeltåga (Lule Sámi: Gubbeltædno) is a river in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway, which flows in a southern and southwestern direction. The river begins at the drainage divide on the Saltfjellet plateu in north. On its direction manly southwards, it meets and becomes a part of Randalselva, which has its beginning in the norwegian-swedish border-regions. At Elvmøthei in Dunderlandsdalen, Randalselva then meets Virvasselva and thus forms the beginning of Ranelva.

Andfiskvatnet is a lake in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The lake lies about southeast of the village of Hauknes and about south of the town of Mo i Rana. The lake flows out into the river Andfiskåga, which flows into the Ranfjorden.
Raudvatnet
Raudvatnet () is a lake in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The European route E12 highway passes along the northern and eastern shores of the lake between the town of Mo i Rana and the border with Sweden. A Red cross hut () is located east of the lake Raudvatnet. Water flows into the lake Raudvatnet primarily from the nearby lake Tverrvatnet to the south. From Raudvatnet, the water flows into the river Tverråga, a tributary to the main river Ranelva.

Bogvatnet
or is a lake in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The lake is located inside the Saltfjellet–Svartisen National Park, about north of the town of Mo i Rana. The glacial lake is also the headwaters of the Blakkåga river, a tributary to the main river Ranelva.
Ytteren
Ytteren is a neighborhood in the town of Mo i Rana, in Rana Municipality, Nordland county, Norway. Together with the neighboring village of Båsmoen, Ytteren forms the northern part of Mo i Rana.Mo i Rana. They are both located on the northern edge of the mouth of the Ranelva river at the Ranfjorden. Norwegian County Road 12 runs through the village. The large lake Langvatnet lies about north of the village.

Langvassåga is a river that flows out of the lake Langvatnet in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It flows in a southeastern direction and almost immediately, it is joined by the river Røvassåga. It then continues a short distance southwards before joining the main river Ranelva, just south of the village of Røssvoll. The Langvassåga catchment area covers about . Sjona is a fjord in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord begins in Rana Municipality and flows to the west through Nesna Municipality and Lurøy Municipality into the sea. The islands of Handnesøya and Tomma lie at the mouth of the fjord. The deepest part of the fjord reaches below sea level. Norwegian County Road 17 follows the entire coast of the fjord. Villages along the shore of the fjord include Flostrand, Mæla, and Myklebustad.

Bjørnefossvatnet
Flatisvatnet is a lake in the northwestern part of Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The lake is located inside the Saltfjellet–Svartisen National Park, about north of the town of Mo i Rana. The glacial lake is also the headwaters of the Glomåga river which flows south into the lake Langvatnet. The Bjørnefoss waterfall is located on the northeastern part of the lake, and so the lake is sometimes known as the Bjørnefossvatnet ().

Skonseng is a village in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located about northeast of the town of Mo i Rana in an agricultural area with a population of about 1,000. The village is located along the south side of the river Ranelva where three valleys meet each other: the Dunderland Valley, Plurdal, and Rødvassdal. The village of Røssvoll lies on the north side of the river, just across from Skonseng. The Nordland Line passes through the village.

Setergrotta (or Setergrotten) is a karst cave in Røvassdalen in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It has a total depth of and explored length of . It is probably connected to the nearby Grønligrotta. The cave contains large galleries and sediments from the latest ice age and younger. It was created 200,000–300,000 years ago.

Utskarpen is a village in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway, about west of the town of Mo i Rana. The village is located at the end of the Utskarpen fjord, an arm of the main Ranfjorden. On the western side of Utskarpen is the intersection with Norwegian County Road 17 and Norwegian County Road 12. The neighboring villages are Sjonbotn to the north and Myklebustad to the west.

Røvassdalen is a valley in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The upper part of the valley is located within the Saltfjellet–Svartisen National Park. The river of Røvassåga flows through the valley, and later it joins with the rivers Blakkåga and Svartisåga and further down with the Langvassåga. The karst caves Setergrotta and Grønnligrotta are located in the valley.

, , or is a river in Rana Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The river flows out of the eastern part of the lake Virvatnet. The stream Boneselva meets Virvasselva about east of the lake Virvatnet. This is a large, continuous, very rich and untouched wetland area with tarns, rivers, marshes, and very tight vegetation. Virvasselva has a good population of Arctic char.
