WrestleMania is a professional wrestling event held annually between mid-March and mid-April by the American company WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling promotion. Since premiering in 1985, 41 events have been held, with its most recent 41st edition occurring at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on April 19 and 20, 2025. WrestleMania was WWE's first pay-per-view (PPV) produced and is the most successful annual professional wrestling event in history. Organised as an occasional one-off match, it is a national team equivalent to the defunct Intercontinental Cup between the club champions of Europe and South America. The competition was held twice, in 1985 and 1993, before being discontinued. It was relaunched in 2022, after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between CONMEBOL and UEFA.

The Regio-Tour is a multi-stage road bicycle race held between France, Switzerland and Germany. It was first held in 1985 and since 2005 it has been organised as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. Famous riders like Laurent Brochard, Jan Ullrich, Alexander Vinokourov, Andreas Klöden, Mario Cipollini and Viatcheslav Ekimov have won the race.
