Tenontosaurus
Tenontosaurus ( ; ) is a genus of iguanodontian ornithopod dinosaur. It had an unusually long, broad tail, which like its back was stiffened with a network of bony tendons. The genus is known from the late Aptian to Albian ages of the Early Cretaceous period sediments of western North America, dating between 115 and 108 million years ago. It contains two species, Tenontosaurus tilletti (described by John Ostrom in 1970) and Tenontosaurus dossi (described by Winkler, Murry, and Jacobs in 1997). Many specimens of T. tilletti have been collected from several geological formations throughout
Convolosaurus
Convolosaurus (, meaning "flocking lizard" after the concentration of juvenile fossils found) is a genus of basal ornithopod dinosaur from the Twin Mountains Formation from Proctor Lake in Comanche County, Texas. The type and only species is Convolosaurus marri.
Iani
Iani (after Ianus) is an extinct genus of rhabdodontomorph iguanodontian dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah, United States. The genus contains a single species, I. smithi, known from a partial skeleton including the skull. Its discovery serves as a link between the genus Tenontosaurus and the Rhabdodontidae, with both along with Iani being members of the clade Rhabdodontomorpha.
Rhabdodontomorpha
Rhabdodontomorpha is a clade of basal iguanodont dinosaurs. This group was named in 2016 in the context of the description, based on Spanish findings of an early member of the Rhabdodontidae. A cladistic analysis was conducted in which it was found that Muttaburrasaurus was the sister species of the Rhabdodontidae sensu Weishampel. Therefore, Paul-Emile Dieudonné and colleagues defined Rhabdodontomorpha as a node-based clade: the group consisting of the last common ancestor of Rhabdodon priscus and Muttaburrasaurus langdoni, and all its descendants. Within the clade Zalmoxes and Mochlodon are
Obelignathus
Obelignathus (meaning "Obelix jaw") is an extinct genus of rhabdodontomorph ornithopod dinosaurs from the Late Cretaceous 'Grès à Reptiles' Formation of France. The genus contains a single species, O. septimanicus, known from a right dentary. The species was initially classified as a species of the coeval Rhabdodon.
Foskeia
Foskeia is an extinct genus of rhabdodontomorph ornithopod dinosaurs known from the Early Cretaceous (Barremian to Aptian ages) Castrillo de la Reina Formation of Spain. The genus contains a single species, Foskeia pelendonum, known from fossils of multiple individuals of different ontogenetic stages. Before its formal description, it had been nicknamed the "Vegagete ornithopod."
Ampelognathus
Ampelognathus (meaning "grapevine jaw") is an extinct genus of possibly rhabdodontomorph ornithopod dinosaurs from the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian) Lewisville Formation of Texas. The type species is Ampelognathus coheni.
