Splügen
Splügen (Romansh: Spleia, Italian: Spluga) is a former municipality in the Viamala Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2006 Splügen incorporated its neighbouring municipality of Medels im Rheinwald. On 1 January 2019 the former municipalities of Hinterrhein, Nufenen and Splügen merged to form the new municipality of Rheinwald.

Nufenen (Italian: Novena, Romansh: Nueinas) is a former municipality in the Viamala Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. On 1 January 2019 the former municipalities of Hinterrhein, Nufenen and Splügen merged to form the new municipality of Rheinwald.

Güferhorn
The Güferhorn is a mountain in the Lepontine Alps, located between the valleys of Vals and Hinterrhein in Graubünden. At 3,379 metres above sea level it is the highest summit of the Lepontine Alps lying east of the Rheinwaldhorn. The northern side of the massif is covered by the Güfergletscher, a 2 kilometres long glacier. It lies above 2,600 metres on the east side of a ridge starting at the summit of the Güferhorn and separating the valleys of Länta and Canaltal, both converging at the Zervreilasee, south of Vals.

Alperschällihorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, overlooking Splügen in the canton of Graubünden. The mountains is situated between the Safien valley (north) and the Hinterrhein valley (south).

Surettahorn
The Surettahorn (also known as Pizzo Suretta) is a mountain in the Oberhalbstein Range of the Alps located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It overlooks the Splügen Pass on its west side.

The Bärenhorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, situated between Vals and Rheinwald in Graubünden, on territory of both municipalities. The northeastern face lies on territory of Safien.
Vogelberg
The Vogelberg is a 3,218 metres high mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Ticino and Graubünden. It is the highest summit of the Lepontine Alps south of the Rheinwaldhorn. The Vogelberg is a large glaciated massif consisting of several secondary summits: Pizzo Cramorino (3,134 metres) on the west side and Rheinquellhorn (3,200 metres) on the east. The northern flanks are covered by the Paradies Glacier at the source of the Hinterrhein. The southern side, overlooking the valley of Malvaglia (Ticino) is steeper and has no glaciers.
Höhberghorn
The Höhberghorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located west of Hinterrhein in the canton of Graubünden. On its eastern flank lies a glacier named Höhberggletscher.
Marscholhorn
The Marscholhorn (also known as Piz Moesola) is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, overlooking the San Bernardino Pass in the canton of Graubünden. It lies at the eastern end of the range between the Hinterrhein valley and the Mesolcina, east of the Zapporthorn.

The river Hinterrhein flows through three valleys in the Grisons, the Rheinwald, the Schams and the Domleschg.
Lorenzhorn
The Lorenzhorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located west of Hinterrhein in the canton of Graubünden. It lies on the range between the valleys of Vals and Hinterrhein. On its north side lies a glacier named Fanellgletscher.
Sufnersee
Sufnersee is a reservoir between Splügen and Sufers on the Hinterrhein river in the Grisons, Switzerland, surrounded by peaks of the Adula Alps. The Sufers dam was built in 1962. The reservoir has a volume of 17.5 million m³ and its surface area is 0.90 km². ==Notes==

Steilerhorn
The Steilerhorn is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, located north of Splügen in the canton of Graubünden. It lies between the valleys of the Stutzbach and the Steilerbach, south of the Alperschällihorn.
Valserhorn
The Valserhorn (also spelled Valser Horn) is a summit of the Lepontine Alps, situated between Vals and Nufenen in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland, on territory of both municipalities. With a prominence of 236 meters it is commonly agreed to be an independent peak to higher Bärenhorn (2929m) one mile to its northeast.
