Otra
The Otra is the largest river in the Sørlandet region of Norway. It begins in Setesdalsheiene mountains at the lake Breidvatnet in Bykle municipality in Agder county, just south of the border with Vinje municipality in Telemark county. The river then flows south through Bykle, Valle, Bygland, Evje og Hornnes, Iveland, Vennesla, and Kristiansand municipalities. The river empties into the Skagerrak in the center of the city of Kristiansand on the southern coast of Norway.

Kvina
Kvina is a river in Southern Norway. The long river begins in the Setesdalsheiene mountains in the municipality of Valle in Agder county and it flows south, along the former Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder county border, through the Kvinesdalen valley, and emptying into the Fedafjorden, just south of Liknes in Kvinesdal municipality. The river has a watershed. The river is rich in fish. In 2014, about of salmon was caught in the river Kvina. The river runs through the villages of Netland, Storekvina, and Liknes.

Tovdalselva
Tovdalselva (also known as the Tofdalselva, Tovdalsåna, Tovdalsåni, literally: the Tov valley river) is long and is one of the longest rivers in Southern Norway. The river flows through Agder county from the mountains on the northeast side of the Setesdal valley in Valle municipality southwards, until it reaches the sea at the Tofdalsfjorden between Hamresanden and Kjevik in Kristiansand. The upper reaches of the river include many lakes such as the Herefossfjorden and the Straumsfjorden (the largest lake on the river). Audna
Audna or Audnedalselva is a river in Agder county, Norway. The long river runs from the lake Grindheimsvatnet, just north of the village of Byremo in Lyngdal municipality, south through the Audnedalen valley to its mouth at the Snigsfjorden in Lindesnes municipality. The mouth is located about southwest of the village of Vigeland. The river has a drainage basin that covers . The river runs through two lakes: Øvre Øydnavatnet and Ytre Øydnavatnet.

Mandalselva, Mandalsåni, or Marna (English: Mandal River, ) is a river in Agder county in Norway. The river has its origins in the mountains between Ose in Setesdal and the Upper Sirdal valley. The river flows south to its mouth at the North Sea at the town of Mandal. The river is long and flows through the municipalities Åseral, Lyngdal, and Lindesnes. The largest tributaries are Monn, Logna, Skjerka, Kosåna, Logåna, and Røyselandsbekken. Lygna or Lyngdalselva is a river in Agder county, Norway. The river runs from the mountains in northern Hægebostad municipality, through the Lyngdalen valley to the municipality of Lyngdal to its mouth at Alleen, where it runs into Lyngdalsfjorden. Lygna has a discharge of , and a drainage basin covering . The river is called the Storåni north of the lake Lygne. The river passes the villages of Tingvatn, Snartemo, and Kvås as well as the town of Lyngdal.

Songdalselva or Søgneelva or Songa is a river in Agder county, Norway. The long river in the hills between Finsland in Kristiansand municipality and Hægeland in Vennesla municipality. The catchment area is located between the Otra river and Mandalselva river watersheds. The river runs through the villages of Hortemo, Nodeland, Volleberg, Tangvall, Åros, and Høllen.
Breidvatn
Breidvatn is a lake in Bykle municipality in Setesdal, in Agder County, southern Norway. It has an outlet to the south to the river Otra. The main inlets are Bjålaupet, which enters from Sæsvatn in the north, and Kaldsåi from the west. Together with Sæsvatn, Breivatn is regulated as a reservoir for the power plants further down the Otravassdraget.
