Sanaag Region
Sanag (, ) is an administrative region (gobol) in north eastern Somaliland. Sanaag has a long coastline facing the Gulf of Aden to the north, and is bordered by the region of Sahil to the west, Sool to the south and Somalia to the east. The region is disputed by the self-declared Somaliland and Puntland, a state of Somalia.

Lamadaya
Lamadaya (, ) are waterfalls that are located in the Cal Madow mountain range in the eastern Sanaag region of Somaliland. The meaning of the word in the Somali language is "not to be looked at", owing to the waterfalls' steep incline atop a high hill. The nearest town to Lamadaya is Ulheed, which is situated towards the Red Sea coast.
