Other population centres in Sandefjord include Andebu, Fevang, Fokserød, Fossnes, Freberg, Hafallen, Helgerød, Himberg, Høyjord, Kodal, Lahelle, Melsomvik, Råstad, Solløkka, Stokke, Storevar, Strand, and Unneberg.

Melsomvik is a village in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located along the Tønsbergfjorden, about to the east of the village of Stokke. The small village of Storevar lies immediately to the south of Melsomvik. The village has a population (2022) of 2,067 and a population density of . Since 2015, the neighboring village of Storevar has been considered part of the urban area of Melsomvik.

Tønsbergfjorden is a fjord in Vestfold county, Norway. The long fjord runs between the mainland (Sandefjord Municipality) and the islands of Tjøme and Nøtterøy (Færder Municipality). The fjord has a number of islands located within it including Veierland, Hui, Langø, Natholmen, and the Stauper islands.

Istrehågan is an ancient monument at Jåberg on the Sandefjord-Larvik border in Vestfold, Norway. It is home to some of the largest stone settings in the Nordic countries. Nearby Haugen farm in Sandefjord is home to Vestfold County's largest petroglyph site. The rock carvings at Haugen farm are Vestfold County's oldest ancient monument. It is an ancient burial ground which dates to the time of the Roman Iron Age around 500 - 600 AD. It is located two kilometers northwest of Hemskilen Nature Preserve in a forest known as Marumskogen.

Sandefjordsfjorden or sometimes simply Sandefjorden, is a long fjord in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is located west of the mainland, south of the town of Sandefjord, and east of the Vesterøya peninsula. The Sandefjordsfjord is the longest of the four fjords located in Sandefjord, Norway. It is a wide fjord which gradually shrinks northbound towards the city harbor. It has a number of small islands located in the fjord including Granholmen.

Mefjorden or Mefjord is a small fjord in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The long fjord lies in-between two long, narrow peninsulas: Vesterøya and Østerøya. It is a narrow fjord with many minor islands and islets.
Østerøya
Østerøya () a peninsula in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is one of two long, narrow peninsulas located south of the city of Sandefjord. The peninsula lies between the Mefjorden and Tønsbergfjorden and it sits across the fjord from the Vesterøya peninsula. The Tønsberg Barrel is located on the southern end of the peninsula. The Tønsberg Barrel is an old sea mark that is mentioned in Sverris saga. It has been described as one of the most beautiful sites in Sandefjord.

Vesterøya () a peninsula in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is one of two long, narrow peninsulas located south of the city of Sandefjord. The peninsula lies between the Mefjorden and Sandefjordsfjorden and it sits across the fjord from the Østerøya peninsula. The peninsula is primarily known for its many beaches and idyllic coastal landscape, but there are also numerous trails used for hiking and biking.
