Sandnes Municipality
Sandnes () is a city and municipality in Rogaland, Norway and a suburb of Stavanger. It lies immediately south of Stavanger the 4th largest municipality in Norway, and together the Stavanger/Sandnes area is the third-largest urban area in Norway. The urban city of Sandnes lies in the extreme western part of the vast municipality and it makes up about 5% of the total land area of the municipality.

Lysefjord
Lysefjord or Lysefjorden is a fjord located in the Ryfylke area in Rogaland county in southwestern Norway. The long fjord lies in Strand Municipality and Sandnes Municipality, about east of the city of Stavanger.
Ryfylke
Ryfylke is a traditional district in the northeastern part of Rogaland county, Norway. The district, encompassing about 60% of the county's area is located northeast of the city of Stavanger and east of the city of Haugesund. It includes the mainland, which is northeast and east of the Boknafjorden and east of the Høgsfjorden. It also consists of the islands on the south side of the Boknafjorden. To the east, Ryfylke borders the districts of Setesdal and Sirdal, to the south is Jæren, and to the west is Haugalandet. Ryfylke is one of the 15 districts in Western Norway.
Kjerag
Kjerag is a mountain in the Sandnes municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The tall mountain sits on the southern shore of Lysefjorden, just southwest of the village of Lysebotn. Its northern side is a massive cliff, plunging almost straight down to the fjord; a sight which attracts many visitors each year. Another tourist attraction, the Kjeragbolten, is a stone wedged between two rocks is located on the mountain. The Kjeragfossen waterfall plunges off the mountain down to the fjord. t is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world.
Kjeragbolten
Kjeragbolten () is a boulder on the mountain Kjerag in the eastern part of Sandnes Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The rock itself is a glacial deposit wedged in a large crevice in the mountain. It is a popular tourist destination and is accessible without any climbing equipment. However, it is suspended above a deep abyss. It is also a popular site for BASE jumping. The boulder is just southwest of the village of Lysebotn, just south of the Lysefjorden.
Stavanger/Sandnes
Stavanger/Sandnes is the third largest urban area in Norway. It consists of the densely built-up areas in the municipalities of Stavanger, Sandnes, Sola, and Randaberg, most of which are located on the Stavanger Peninsula, its surrounding islands, and the mainland south of the peninsula. Stavanger/Sandnes is the central part of the Stavanger Region.
Kvernaland
The larger Kvernaland area is an amalgamation of villages in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located along the north end of the lake Frøylandsvatnet. The village is located in both the municipalities of Klepp and Time (and a very small part extends into Sandnes municipality as well). The eastern part of the village (in Klepp) is also known as Orstad and the western part of the village (in Time) is known as Frøyland or simply as Kvernaland. The village of Klepp stasjon lies just southwest of the village on the west side of the lake and the small village of Foss Eikjeland lies just north

Lysebotn
Lysebotn is a village in Sandnes Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located at the eastern end of the Lysefjorden in a very isolated valley that is only accessible by a seasonal road or by boat. The name itself means the "bottom [end] of the Lysefjorden". It's a destination for over 100,000 tourists annually, and it is an access point for the Kjerag mountain, a popular Base Jumping spot. There are cruises and an express boat to Lysebotn from Skagenkaien in the city of Stavanger, Lauvvik (in Høle), and the village of Forsand. All of which pass beneath the famous Preikestole
Høgsfjord
Høgsfjorden is a fjord in Rogaland county, Norway. It lies in Stavanger Municipality, Sandnes Municipality, Strand Municipality, and Gjesdal Municipality. The innermost part of the fjord is located at the village of Frafjord in Gjesdal Municipality. It flows west to Dirdal and then heads northwards. At the village of Forsand, the Lysefjord branches off to the northeast. The Høgsfjorden continues to the northwest past the islands of Idsal and Idse before emptying into the Horgefjorden (just east of the city of Stavanger) and ultimately into the vast Boknafjorden.

Gandsfjord
Gandsfjorden is a fjord in Rogaland county, Norway. The long Gandsfjorden is an arm off of the large Boknafjorden. It runs between the mainland and the Stavanger Peninsula in the western parts of Stavanger Municipality and Sandnes Municipality. The entire west and south side of the Gandsfjorden is highly developed and urban as this is the location of the cities of Stavanger and Sandnes. Nilsebuvatnet
Nilsebuvatnet is a lake on the border of Sandnes Municipality and Hjelmeland Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The lake lies in the Lyseheiane mountains about north of the village of Lysebotn and about east of the village of Årdal. The lake is regulated by a small dam on the southwest corner of the lake. The dam provides water for the Lysebotn power station. The lake drains out into the river Storåna which flows westward towards Årdal. The lake is accessible by a small service road from Lysebotn which leads up to the dam.

Frafjorden
Frafjorden or Frafjord is a fjord in Gjesdal Municipality and Sandnes Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The fjord is the innermost branch of the Høgsfjorden. The Frafjord has steep sides with no habitation along its shores, except for the village of Frafjord at the innermost part of the fjord. The village and the surrounding Frafjorddalen farming valley stretches about east of the fjord and the whole area has about 100 residents. Kjeragfossen
Kjeragfossen is a waterfall in the eastern part of Sandnes Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The waterfall cascades down from the Kjerag plateau on the south shore of the Lysefjorden. It is one of the highest waterfalls in Norway and one of the highest in the world. It is a plunge-style waterfall that is usually only active about 5 months of the year. The waterfall is located in a very scenic area that has many tourists each year. The famous Kjeragbolten boulder is located nearby.

Flassavatnet
Flassavatnet is a lake in Rogaland county, Norway. The lake lies on the border of the municipalities of Gjesdal and Sandnes. The lake sits about north of the large village of Ålgård, not far north of the lakes Edlandsvatnet and Limavatnet. The lake is a reservoir with a small dam on the southern edge of the lake.
