Secamonoideae

Goniostemma is a genus of plant in family Apocynaceae, first described as a genus in 1834. It contains two known species, one native to China, the other to India and Bangladesh.

It was previously included in the family Asclepiadaceae before that family was split into three subfamilies, Asclepiadoideae, Periplocoideae and Secamonoideae and all were placed with the plants already included in the Apocynaceae, now the subfamilies Rauvolfioideae and Apocynoideae.
