Selenopidae, also called wall crab spiders, wall spiders and flatties, is a family of nocturnal, free-ranging, araneomorph spiders first described by Eugène Simon in 1897. It contains over 281 species in nine genera, of which Selenops is the most well-known.

Selenops is a spider genus that is found in many arid regions of the world, but some species may also be found in some cooler and even mountainous regions. Most of the 132 species (as of May. 2021) are hard to visually distinguish, and requires study of their finer anatomy.

Hovops is a genus of Malagasy wall spiders that was first described by P. L. G. Benoit in 1968.

Garcorops is a genus of east African wall spiders (family Selenopidae) first described by J. A. Corronca in 2003. , it contains three species found in Madagascar and Comoros: G. jocquei, G. madagascar, and G. paulyi. In addition, one species, †Garcorops jadis Bosselaers, 2004 , is only known from a fossil found discovered in copal on Madagascar.
