Trpinja
Trpinja (, ) is a village and an eponymous municipality in the Vukovar-Syrmia County in eastern Croatia. It lies along the D2 state road connecting Osijek and Vukovar, approximately two kilometres northwest of Vukovar. During the Battle of Vukovar of the Croatian War of Independence this route, known locally as Trpinjska cesta (“Trpinja road”), became one of the major battle sites.
